This video will explain how to attach a document
to a calendar invitation and at the same time Share it. Begin by creating the invitation. If you do not have the Add Attachment link
when you go to create an invitation, you’ll need to turn it on in your calendar labs. In your calendar, click on the gear, labs,
enable Event Attachments and then click Save. Now when you go to create an event, you will
see the Add Attachments link. You can add documents that reside either in
Drive, documents that are Shared with You OR documents that live on your computer! To
add a document from Drive click on Add Attachment You will see your My Drive documents by default.
Simply select the document you want to attach and then click the Select button below. To add another attachment click on Add another
attachment This time we will attach a document that resides
on the computer’s harddrive by clicking Upload, and then dragging the file from the
desktop. Then click Upload to upload it into the invitation. Then click the Upload button to upload the
document into the invitation. Now we need to share each document so that
the guests we will invite to the meeting will have access to Edit, Comment or View the document.
In addition once we give them access, they will also be able to print each document.
To Begin click on each attachment to open it and then click the Share button on the
right side of the screen Add people in the field provided Then decide if they should have Edit, Comment
or View access. With any of these options they will be able to print the document as
well. Next, you may decide if it necessary to Notify
People via Email. When you are finished, click Share and Save. Then click Done and close the document.
Follow the same steps for any additional documents you’ve uploaded. Lastly, finish creating your invitation with
the Title, date and time, place and don’t forget to invite your guests.
