Celebrating Diversity at AIS I

Hello! My name is Geraldine Goguillon, I am French, from Metz in Lorraine, in the Moselle region. I like this city very much because
of its cathedral and the central square which are very very beautiful historical monuments. In Lorraine we have a dialect, and a word
that we use a lot is ‘schneck’ which is a pastry that translates into ‘escargot’ (snail). Good afternoon, I’m Sava Vrbaski. I am from Serbia. The place I chose for this project is ‘The bridge over the Drina river’ in the town of Višegrad, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. One interesting fact about this bridge is
that it was built in the 16th century by Mehmed Paša Sokolović for his town’s people. The word I chose is not really a word, it’s an expression which is ‘Bre!’ in Serbian language and it’s used for adding emphasis to a statement. For example, if you say: ‘Stani bre!’ (Stop, slow down!) or: ‘Šta ti je bre’ (What’s going on?!). That’s all from me, thank you!
